Leadership Descriptions: Vocation Ministry Liaison

The Vocation’s Liaison serves at the invitation and discretion of the National Team. This person is invited to serve a two year, renewable term. The term may be renewed as long as both the Vocation Minister Liaison and the Executive Board feel it is prudent. This person shall be familiar with the Mission and Vision of the NCSC, experienced in campus ministry, a vocation minister, a member of NCSC, and a professional member of either the National Religious Vocation Conference or the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors. The Vocation’s Liaison position is a non-voting, partially funded position.

The Vocation’s Liaison is the primary contact between the NCSC and other Vocation Directors and should work to promote NCSC among Vocation Ministers. This person must attend the Annual Leadership Conference and should help facilitate the advertising and exhibiting process at the Conference.

This person should represent NCSC on national vocation ministry committees and special projects as appointed by the National Chair.

The Vocation’s Liaison is primarily responsible for assisting in the integration of vocations issues in the NCSC and for developing a program to help students discover their vocation. This person also serves as a resource for the Executive Board and provides motivational and spiritual guidance for them.

The Vocation’s Liaison is invited to participate in all National Team meetings and conference calls.
